Trivium : Vol - 1 : No - 1 : Issue - 1

It is a matter of joy to announce the publication of TRIVIUM, a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal of the humanities published by Chandernagore College. It has been a challenge to work across the spectrum but thanks to the efforts of the editorial board it has been possible to meet the challenge. The editor thanks the authors and the reviewers for meeting the deadline at short notice. The journal is bi-lingual and will be published twice a year with issues in autumn and spring. In the first issue we have been able to gather eight essays on literature in English from pre-and-post Independence India, Children’s Literature in English and Bengali, American Literature, Early Modern English and French Literature, and Women’s History. We look forward to focusing on academic issues relevant to modern scholarship and having contributions from a wider section of scholars.
